In the new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 trailer, a group photo was shown that showed some kids playing on their skateboards in front of an abandoned building. James Gunn and his friends are known as “11th Street Kids”.
This article includes spoilers for Episode 5 of Peacemaker, “Chapter 5: Monkey Dory.” In the genuine group shot from Peacemaker Episode 5, the “11th Street Kids” are all grins — and all bloodied. During Saturday’s #PeacemakerParty on Twitter, series creator James Gunn shared a team photo taken by Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) while celebrating a successful Project Butterfly mission. After saving Peacemaker (John Cena) from the super-gorilla host of an extraterrestrial infection, John Economos (Steve Agee) gruesomely kills Charlie the Gorilla with a chainsaw, Harcourt captures the picture and forms a “11th Street Kids” group chat called after the Hanoi Rocks song.

Peacemaker and Economos (a.k.a. “Dye-Beard”) concur in “Monkey Dory” that Hanoi Rocks is “only the finest band of all time.” “11th Street Kids” and “Fallen Star,” two of their songs, are on the Episode 5 soundtrack.
The Finnish glam punk band “is truly one of my favorite bands of all time (along with the Replacements, The Jam, and Old 97’s),” Gunn wrote in another tweet. “The other day I got a very nice message of appreciation from [Hanoi Rocks vocalist Michael Monroe] & I’ll be honest I got a little teary. A true hero of mine!!!””
