Hollywood actor and producer, Adam Sandler recently released a statement in regards to his recent experience on the set of Netflix’s new movie The Meyerowitz Stories. There are many companies that have been noted for having unsafe working environments while filming industry-related shows or films, but it seems that this problem goes beyond just one company or field.

Director Joel Souza told police they were practicing a scenario that “included actor Alec Baldwin cross-drawing his firearm and aiming the pistol at the camera lens,” according to an affidavit.
“He heard what sounded like a whip and then a big bang,” the director claimed as Baldwin was practicing with the rifle.
Hutchins was shot and killed. Souza had been hurt.
Souza recalled hearing the term “cold gun” on set, which meant the gun was safe.
“If someone really placed a live round in there, number one, it shouldn’t have been on the set, and number two, they should have physically examined it with a flashlight down barrel to make sure there were no blockages in the mechanism,” armorer Bill Davis said.
Souza further claimed that firearms on set were meant to be examined by Hannah Gutierrez, the film’s armorer, and then double-checked by Dave Halls, the assistant director who delivered the pistol to Baldwin.
Halls was sacked from a prior film when a gun incident on set harmed a crew member, according to CBS News.

California State Senator Dave Cortese is pushing for a ban on live ammunition in theater shows in the light of this shocking and horrible event.
“How come we’re still doing it?” You don’t have to follow the same rules of engagement for props as people did 100 years ago in the wild west while shooting a western. “You can’t just chuck a gun at someone, much alone hurl a gun at someone without inspecting it,” State Senator Cortese remarked.
On Oct. 20, 2021, a heartbroken Alec Baldwin waits in the parking lot outside the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s offices on Camino Justicia after being questioned about a shooting that occurred when a toy pistol on a nearby movie set misfired earlier in the day.
As the inquiry in New Mexico continues, there are concerns about the legal implications.
Baldwin might suffer legal repercussions in two ways, according to Attorney Royal Oakes. He might be charged with a crime, but this is quite improbable. The actor might potentially be sued for wrongful death, with a potential judgment of millions of dollars.
In the instance of Hall and Gutierrez, Oakes said involuntary manslaughter would be the accusation in a criminal prosecution. They didn’t aim to murder, yet their irresponsible actions ended in a fatality.
