Project D is Nexon’s new squad-based multiplayer shooter headed to a December alpha in Korea. The game will be free to play with optional microtransactions, but the team has yet to decide if they’ll offer cosmetic items or other special content for purchase.
Project D is Nexon’s new squad-based multiplayer shooter headed to a December alpha in Korea. The game is an intense battle royale with over 100 players fighting for survival on one map.
As we’ve previously said, Nexon has a lot of irons in the fire, but what’s one more multiplayer online game on the horizon? Introducing Project D, a Nexon GT-developed team-based third-person online shooter. Nexon GT was founded in 2014 by the merging of Nexon subsidiaries Nextonic and GameHi.
Project D seems to be rather normal in terms of squad-based objective-focused shooters, but a play guide video seeks to explain how the game stands out from the pack, highlighting the eight characters’ individual talents as well as the game’s highly mobile mobility and weapon customization systems. Between now until November 30th, the game is accepting registrations for a Korean alpha test, which will take place between December 2nd and December 15th. Below you can see the play instruction video as well as a sizzle clip.
If you search for Project D on Google, you may find another Nexon game with the same name, but this is the working title of a mobile RPG from developer Weredsoft with side-scrolling 2-D graphics, an action combat style, and a fantasy scenario. There are no firearms available here. If Project D is more your pace, you may watch a video of the current character selecting screen below.
