The NBA Finals have been a thrilling series, and the star players at the center of it all are James Harden and Damian Lillard. Their combined skillset has sent Twitter into a frenzy as they battle for their teams’ championship aspirations, but there is more to their story than meets the eye. This article will explore how these two superstars met, what led them to such lofty heights, and where we might see them go from here in 2021.,

The “where is damian lillard from” is a question that is asked frequently. James Harden and Damian Lillard are both members of the 2021.

The beginning of the 2021-2022 season seems to be more tumultuous than any other in recent memory. The Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards, and Charlotte Hornets, three perennial sub-.500 teams in the Eastern Conference, have played terrific team ball and seem prepared to crash the postseason party. The Minnesota Timberwolves and Sacramento Kings have made great progress in the west and may find themselves in the playoff race as the season progresses.

This season, superstars James Harden is a basketball player from the United States. and Lillard, Damian have contributed to the pandemonium by suffering a lot in October and the first few days of November.

Next, we’ll see whether James Harden and Damian Lillard’s early-season offensive struggles mark the start of their fall from grace, or if they’re just experiencing an offensive blip.

Here’s a short rundown of the All-Star Game:

– Each year, 12 players are selected for the Eastern and Western Conference All-Star teams, for a total of 24 All-Stars.

– Fans (50 percent), NBA players (25 percent), and media members vote on five players from each conference to win a starting place (25 percent ). Two guards and three frontcourt players are among the five starters.

– The 30 NBA coaches then choose seven reserve players for each conference. Two guards, three frontcourt players, and two players from any position will compete for the remaining seven berths.

– Only four guard places are assured, but that number might climb to six if the 30 head coaches agree that two additional guards are deserving of the last two roster berths.

Eastern Conference All-Star Guards for 2020-2021:

Irving, Kyrie (starter)

James Harden is a basketball player from the United States (reserve)

Brown, Jaylen (reserve)

Zach LaVine is a professional basketball player. is a professional basketball player (reserve)

Simmons, Ben (reserve)

This season, James Harden’s stats are down across the board. At first sight, his low shooting stats seem to be an early-season anomaly. During last year’s playoffs, he had a Grade 2 hamstring injury and was unable to play 5-on-5 basketball while recovering. Harden is getting back into shape, and he’s looked like he’s recovering some of his strength in recent Nets games.

Even still, if you look closely, you’ll see that James Harden’s troubles aren’t just due to health or fitness concerns. The NBA’s new rule change restricting foul calls on non-basketball actions has affected “The Beard’s” attacking style dramatically. James Harden led the NBA in free-throw attempts and made free throws from 2015 to 2020 (six seasons). Fast forward to this season, and the former Rocket is now in 12th position with 37 free throw attempts, 25 less than league leader Giannis Antetokounmpo (62 attempts).

James Harden is one of the league’s slowest point guards. He used to compensate for his lack of speed by using what the NBA now refers to as non-basketball maneuvers. When Harden has been unable to get past his defender throughout the years, he has constantly relied on two choices. He dribbled down the lane, halted 10 to 14 feet from the hoop, and sank a mid-range shot while hooking his off arm under the defender’s extended palm. Or he might stand beyond the arc, dribble aggressively into the lane, and unleash a step-back three-pointer while hooking the defender with his non-shooting hand. Those two movements worked 9 times out of 10, and the official sounded the whistle.

This season, there is no longer a foul when James Harden or any other offensive player makes contact with a defender with his off-hand. Harden’s offensive game will be severely harmed as a result of this regulation change. He’s still sluggish, and defenders are getting closer to the “Beard” now that he’s no longer in danger of earning a shooting foul. When faced with colossal defenders with enormous wingspans, a few inches might be the difference between the ball going into the net and rimming out.

It’s not only about James Harden’s productivity, which is still outstanding (he’s just 1.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds away from a triple-double), but it’s also about his prospective selection to the 2021-2022 All-Star squad. Harden’s challenge for one of the limited All-Star guard slots must also be considered.

If you look at the All-Star guards from last season, you’ll see that three of the backcourt players who made the team will almost probably not be picked this year. Due to immunization difficulties, Kyrie Irving has yet to play. Ben Simmons, meanwhile, has seen no action due to mental health difficulties. Jaylen Brown has been a standout performer for the Celtics, but his role has changed to the frontcourt, with him spending 73 percent of his time at small forward or power forward, making him ineligible to play for the Eastern Conference as a guard.

Three previous Eastern Conference All-Star guards are out of the race this season, but a new generation of outstanding backcourt players has come up to take their place.

Notable for the years 2020-2021 Backcourt players who aren’t All-Stars:

Malcolm Brogdon’s 2021-2022 statistics are as follows: 23.4 points per game, 7.0 assists per game, 7.0 rebounds per game, 44.2 field goal percentage, 28.6 three-point percentage, and a 2-6 record.

Trae Young is a professional basketball player.’s 2021-2022 statistics are as follows: 22.9 points per game, 9.4 assists per game, 3.0 rebounds per game, 43.0 field goal percentage, 27.0 three-point percentage, and a 4-3 record.

Tyler Herro’s 2021-2022 statistics are as follows: 22.4 points per game, 4.4 assists per game, 6.0 rebounds per game, 47.2 field goal percentage, 40.8 three-point percentage, and a 6-1 record.

2021-2022 Ball, LaMelo stats: 20.1 points per game, 6.1 assists per game, 6.1 rebounds per game, 43.0 field goal percentage, 44.1 three-point percentage, 5-3 record

Spencer Dinwiddie’s 2021-2022 stats: 18.8 points per game, 6.3 assists per game, 5.3 rebounds per game, 42.4 field goal percentage, 37.5 three-point percentage, 5-2 record

Tyler Herro has put up great statistics while also playing strong defense for the Heat. Unfortunately, he did not start, and a bench player making the All-Star squad is quite unusual. Herro can rest easy knowing that unless things go wrong in Miami, he’ll be named Sixth Man of the Year.

Malcolm Brogdon has made significant progress, but winning is crucial to make the All-Star squad, and his Pacers are now 2-6, with little possibility of reaching the playoffs.

Spencer Dinwiddie’s work has proven impressive. His figures are comparable to Harden’s, yet they aren’t just numbers. The Wizards are winning, and from what I’ve seen of them, they seem to be a potential playoff team. Dinwiddie isn’t as well-known as James Harden, and his rebounding and assist stats aren’t as impressive as “The Beard’s.”

Out of this bunch of up-and-comers, LaMelo Ball has the finest All-Star case. With his passing abilities and shot-making talents from beyond the arc and in the lane, he’s a dynamic offensive weapon capable of taking over in the half-court when things become stale for the Hornets.

For the first time in his career, Zach LaVine is averaging 25.6 points per game while playing brilliant defense for the 6-1 Chicago Bulls. He’ll almost certainly make the All-Star team unless he gets hurt. Bradley Beal is averaging 24.3 points per game for the unexpected 5-2 Washington Wizards, and he’s kept his assignment to an incredible eight points fewer than their typical average. He’ll almost certainly make the All-Star team. Trae Young was left out of the All-Star Game last season. Still, with his 22.9 PPG and 9.4 APG this season and his playoff performance in 2021 (when he helped lead the youthful Atlanta Hawks to the Eastern Conference Finals), he seems to be a lock to earn his second All-Star trip.

Harden, Brogdon, Herro, Ball, and Dinwiddie are left with one to three places open.

Finally, we believe the following five Eastern Conference guards will be named to the All-Star Team:

Zach LaVine

Bradley Beal

Trae Young

LaMelo Ball

And then there’s James Harden, who, although having a down year, is still scoring at a high level for a playoff team.

Damian Lillard

Statistics for 2020-2021: 28.8 PPG, 7.5 APG, 4.2 RPG, 45.1 FG%, 39.1 3P%, 25.6 PER, 5.9 BPM, 45.1 FG%, 39.1 3P%, 25.6 PER, 5.9 BPM

Statistics for 2021-2022: 18.6 PPG, 8.6 APG, 4.0 RPG, 34.9 FG%, 23.1 3P%, 14.7 PER, -4.4 BPM

Western Conference All-Star Guards for 2020-2021:

Curry, Stephen (starter)

Luka Doncic is a Serbian footballer who plays for the (starter)

Lillard, Damian (reserve)

Mitchell, Donovan (reserve)

Chris Paul is a musician from the United States (reserve)

Devin Booker is a basketball player who plays in the NBA (reserve and injured, replaced by Mike Conley)

Damian Lillard’s scoring production and shooting percentages are far lower than previous season, and his advanced statistics are dismal. It’s more difficult to identify his issues than it is for James Harden. Lillard isn’t recovering from an injury, and he took use of every potential opportunity to earn a bucket, but he’s never had to rely on gimmicks to draw a foul.

With Damian Lillard in the lineup, the Trail Blazers have never come close to capturing a championship. After years of first-round exits, Portland management decided to fire long-time head coach Terry Stotts and replace him with Chauncey Billups this summer. Nonetheless, many in the league had hoped for more. Many fans anticipated the Blazers’ GM Neil Olshey to make substantial roster changes, but he instead brought back nearly the same club from last season.

Damian Lillard has not said that he wants to leave the team. He’s said all that needs to be said. His heart is in it, according to Dame; he’s just slumping.

Lillard may have been on a losing streak in the early parts of the season, similar to a poker player who keeps getting busted on the river. But it seems like there’s more here. He isn’t only failing at his deep tries. He’s clattering all of his shots from all around the court.

Shot chart for Damian Lillard through the first seven games of the season:

54.3 percent of people between the ages of 0 and 3 feet

25.0 percent from 3 to 10 ft

46.7 percent at 10-16 ft

33.3 percent on the 16-3P line

23.1 percent above the 3P line

Damian Lillard’s All-Star competition in the west is significantly tougher than James Harden’s. The Western Conference All-Star guards from last year have had little success.

The Warriors are in second place in the Western Conference, and Stephen Curry leads the league in scoring, a combination that often results in the MVP Award. Luka Doncic leads the Western Conference in scoring with 24.0 points per game, 7.1 assists per game, and 7.7 rebounds per game for the 4-3 Dallas Mavericks. Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz are back to their old ways, sitting atop the Western Conference standings with 24.9 points per game and a perfect 100 defensive rating. With 21.8 points per game, 5.3 assists per game, and 5.2 rebounds per game for the Suns, Devin Booker is still surpassing Lillard. Chris Paul is averaging a double-double with 13.0 points per possession and 11.8 assists per possession, yet he’s still an advanced metrics god, ranking in the top 30 in NBA Math’s total points contributed stat with an impressive 11.39.

We haven’t mentioned Ja Morant, who leads the league in scoring with 28.3 points per game, 7.7 assists per game, and a 52.4 percent overall shooting percentage for the 4-3 Memphis Grizzlies.

Only four guard positions (two starters and two reserves) are guaranteed for the Western Conference All-Star team; the last two players may play any position.

Stephen Curry, Ja Morant, Luka Doncic, Donovan Mitchell, and Devin Booker are very certain to make the Western Conference All-Star team. Their stats are great, but they’ve all shown the sort of total effort that leads to team success.

Chris Paul’s situation is more complicated. He’s only averaging 13.0 points per game, and it’s almost unheard of for a player to make the All-Star Game while averaging less than 16 points a game. The NBA’s 30 coaches might make an exception based on his analytical metrics and on-court effect, but the Suns have been struggling, and other frontcourt players have made a stronger case for All-Star consideration.

Finally, we believe Damian Lillard’s early-season troubles will be too difficult to overcome, and he will miss his first All-Star game in four years. Karl-Anthony Towns, on the other hand, needs to be mentioned. He’s averaging 24.8 points per game on 50.0 percent 3-point shooting while anchoring the surprise 7th-ranked Minnesota Timberwolves defense.
